SUBJECT: 2008-2009 Safety Requires Teamwork Books



Ladies and Gentlemen:

This is to advise you of significant changes with respect to the delivery of the information contained in the Safety Requires Teamwork books that have historically been supplied in hard copy to the Branches free of charge.

For the 2008-2009 season there will be three levels of communication with respect to this information:

1. The files will be sent to all Branches in a PDF format to allow you to both add the files to your website and send the files to your associations electronically. This will also allow you to insert the information into any documents you may be sending out to your membership.

2. The files will also be put on a small CD ROM and inserted into the Hockey Canada membership mail-out for 2008-2009 aimed at 4-10 year old players.

3. A limited number of hard copies of the book will be printed and each Branch will receive a small number of these for meetings and events. The number sent to each Branch will be determined by Hockey Canada.

Please note that there will be changes to the Health Benefits Trust portion of the Hockey Canada Insurance Program. These changes will not be confirmed until after the AGM which will slightly delay the completion of the 2008-2009 version. We hope to have the revisions finalized shortly after the AGM and will get the information to you as quickly as possible.

We feel that this new delivery plan will not only be more effective in making the information available to our members but will also be more cost effective with respect to this piece of information.
